Evolution of bikes

Before starting about  the invention of bikes let’s go to the brief history about the engine.

Many scientists and engineers has contributed to the development of  internal  combustions engines.

In 1791 ,JOHN BARBER    developed the turbine then after few years THOMAS made patented gas engine

.Also in 1794  Robert Street patented  an internal combustion engine , which was also the first to use the

Liquid fuel  and built an engine around that time . In 1978 John Stevens designed the first American  internal combustion Engine. As the years passed many more engineers were getting involved in making engine  and finally around 1880 the

Perfect engine was  made and now also the engineers are working on engine to make it more powerful.

So now without wasting your precious and valuable time  let’s talk about the bikes.

In 1885 Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in Germany made Daimler Reitwagen which was the first

 internal combustion ,petroleum fueled motorcycle . In 1894, Hildebrand &Wolfmuller became the first

  series production motorcycle.

In the 21^st century , the motorcycle industry is mainly dominated by the Indian motorcycle industry

And by the Japanese motorcycle companies .In addition to the large capacity  motorcycles  , there

Is a large market in smaller capacity (less than 300cc) motorcycles , mostly concentrated in Asian and

African countries and produced in China and India . A Japanese example is the 1958 Honda Super club , which went on to become the biggest

Selling vehicle of all time , with its 60 million unit produced in APRIL 2008 Today this area is dominated mostly Indian companies with Hero

MotoCrop  emerging as the world’s largest manufacturer of two wheelers .Its Splendor model has sold more than 8.5million to date. Other major producers are Bajaj and TVS   motors.
