Evolution of bikes Before starting about the invention of bikes let’s go to the brief history about the engine. Many scientists and engineers has contributed to the development of internal combustions engines. In 1791 ,JOHN BARBER developed the turbine then after few years THOMAS made patented gas engine .Also in 1794 Robert Street patented an internal combustion engine , which was also the first to use the Liquid fuel and built an engine around that time . In 1978 John Stevens designed the first American internal combustion Engine. As the years passed many more engineers were getting involved in making engine and finally around 1880 the Perfect engine was made and now also the engineers are working on engine to make it more powerful.
